２作目となるこちらのBGM動画の曲は、英語詞が中心です。
訳は逐語訳よりも意訳中心になっています。
厳密な意味よりもリズムや幻想的な雰囲気を重視しているため、ヴォカリーズ、英語やラテン語風の造語、既存言語では意味を成さないセンテンス（ナンセンスパート）を含む曲も多いです。

【制作裏話】
１作目＝【作業用BGM】夢幻ノ音ノ旅―Fantastical Journey Through Soundの記事の最後で述べた通り、「光の家路」と同一コンセプトで制作した姉妹曲です。
北の国の夜の森にいる妖精が囁いているかのような、透明感のある歌声と優しい音色が気に入っています。
02.翼竜の言い伝え（Yokuryū no iitsutae）
Whispers rise, the clouds entwine,
Legends told in ancient time.
囁きは立ちのぼり、雲は寄り添い絡む。
語り継がれる、古（いにしえ）の伝説。
My grandmother spoke to me,
Of swirling clouds above the sea.
Within their folds, a dragon lay,
A child asleep in skies of grey.
祖母がわたしに語ってくれた、
海の上に渦巻く雲の物語。
その重なりの中に竜が眠ると、
灰色の空に、子どもは夢を見る。

【制作裏話】
幼い頃に聞いた竜の三兄妹の伝説に憧れる、見習い魔法使いの語る歌。
２作目の中で一番好きな仕上がりかもしれません。
このあたりから、サビの前後に詠唱っぽいパートを入れることが多くなりました。
毎回、詞の雰囲気に合う造語を考えるのが楽しいです。
03.深海で眠るのは（Shinkai de nemuru no wa）

影が眠るその場所に、ひそかに暮らすことを夢見ている。
深い静けさに満ちた、底の底。

５曲目以下、歌詞が一連の物語を成す三部作になっており、その前置きとして入れたものです。
前半と後半の切り替えが面白い曲になりました。
05.鳥籠の姫の恋（Torikago no hime no koi）
A tale is told in whispers low,
Of love and loss from long ago.
密かな囁きで語られる、
遠い昔の恋と喪失の物語。
A noble maid with hair of gold,
Was stolen by a heart so bold.
The thief and princess fled the night,
Two shadows lost beyond the light.
金の髪を持つ高貴な姫は、
大胆な若者によって奪われた。
ふたりは闇を駆け、
光の届かぬ影となった。
They danced through fields, they crossed the streams,
In fleeting hours, they chased their dreams.
But when they paused beneath the bough,
A demon came, unseen, somehow.
野を駆け、せせらぎを越え、
束の間の夢を追いかけた。

【story】
時の王に献上するため、城の奥で大切に育てられた上流貴族の姫君。
彼女は、とある宮廷行事に参加した際、顔を合わせた下級貴族の若者と恋に落ちてしまう。
身分違いの恋——しかもいずれ王の后となり、一族繁栄の礎（いしずえ）となるべき運命の彼女はしかし、若者との逃避行を決断。ある夜、屋敷の裏門から逃げ出して森に入ることに成功したが、急に雲行きが怪しくなったため、崩れかけた猟師小屋で雨宿りをすることに。
埃だらけの床に外套を敷いて姫を休ませ、若者は戸の近くに座ってうとうとしていたところ——しだいに近づく雷鳴に紛れて聞こえた、裂帛の悲鳴で目を覚ました。
奥に小鬼でも隠れていたかと、闇の中、剣を抜いて斬りかかったものの、敵は相当の手練れと見えて返り討ちに遭ってしまう。朝陽に照らされて飛び起きると、小屋は蛻（もぬけ）の殻。
奥の壁には人が通れるほどの穴が空いており、何者かが、自分が守っていた戸の反対側から侵入したことは明らかであった。
床には血の痕が点々と散らばっている。「ああ、姫は鬼に食われてしまったか。きっと王都では騒ぎになっているだろうし、今となっては自分が帰れる場所もなかろう」
若者はそのまま、傷心の旅路を辿ることになった。
06.放浪の足取り（Hōrō no ashidori）
The wind carried him far from shore,
To lands of myth and ancient lore.
風は彼を岸辺から遠くへと運び、
神話と伝承の地へと導くのだった。
He crossed the waters wide and cold,
Where silent gods in whispers told.
A city gleamed with distant light,
A thousand domes, a starless night.
彼は冷たく広がる水域を越えた。
沈黙の神が囁きで語る海。
かすかな光に街がきらめき、
星なき夜に千の丸屋根が浮かぶ。
The streets were lined with stone and gold,
With faces strange, with tales untold.
The air was thick with spice and song,
A world to which he’d never belonged.
石と黄金で敷き詰められた道、
見慣れない顔と語られぬ物語。
空気は香辛料の香りと歌に満ちる、
彼の居場所でなかった世界。
The bells would ring, the dancers rise,
A ghost among a land of lies.
鐘が鳴り、踊り子は舞う、

城塞の頂きに立ち、
彼は静まる街を見下ろした。
そして黄昏に、遠くの山影、
雲の奥に沈むひとつの星を見た。
【story】
東へ向かった若者は、大きな川のほとりに栄える大都市に滞在することにした。
ここなら、仮に自分を罰するための使いが追ってきても身を隠せるだろう。心身を休めつつ、できれば日雇い労働でもして多少の路銀も稼いだ後に、永住できる地を探しにまた旅立とう……。
そんな折、バザールの片隅で奇妙な老人に声をかけられた。「あなたの来訪を待つ魂が、この地の果てにある星の塔で待っているようだ。そこは遂げられぬ思いが集まる場所。一度行ってみると良かろう」
若者は路銀稼ぎもそこそこに、姫の魂に会いたさにその街を後にした。
07.最果ての星の塔（Saihate no hoshi no tō）
A tower rose, alone, apart,
A silent wound upon the dark.
夜の闇にぽつりと立つ、
孤独な塔がひとつ。
The stranger climbed with weary breath,
Each step a memory, each stone a death.
The city’s hum, a fading sound,
As shadows deeper gathered ‘round.
疲れた息を吐きながら、
男は塔の階をのぼる。
踏みしめる石ごとに過去が蘇り、
闇がその身を飲み込んでいく。
At the summit, night unfurled,
A silver room, a turning world.
Mirrors bloomed upon the wall,
And voices beckoned, soft and small.
頂上には銀に包まれた部屋が、
まるで回る世界のよう。
壁には鏡が咲き、
小さな声が彼を誘った。
Visions spun in crystal glass,
Echoes of the life that passed.
水晶の中で揺れる幻、
過ぎ去った命の響き。

若者が辿り着いたのは、隊商もそうそう立ち寄らぬという荒れた地に聳え立つ、古代文明の遺跡の塔。
異教の祭司が守護しており、確固たる目的を持つ来訪者のみを受け入れているという。
若者が事情を話すと、塔の最上階へ向かうよう促された。
天まで届くようなその場所で彼が出会ったのは……。【制作裏話】
『伊勢物語』芥川・東下りの段を洋風にしたイメージです。
（彼が出会ったのは本物か、はたまた悲しみに沈んだ心が見せた幻か）
08.追憶の故郷（Tsuioku no furusato）

【制作裏話】
当初は、一つ前の曲の続きを作り、四部作にしようと思っていました。
が、思うような曲が完成しないのと、１作目に入れた「なんか日本語っぽいフレーズがある曲」を一つ入れたいと考え、路線変更。
結果、ややまとまりのない仕上がりになってしまった気もしますが、これはこれでいいか…という感じで投稿しました。
